‘Great Decisions’ Discussion Continues Online

The Great Decisions discussions have been held in Heritage Village for more than 20 years. The group was not going to let some virus stop them from meeting. Once the Heritage Village Foundation buildings were closed, the group decided to try using video-conferencing to host the gathering. Although some were skeptical how this could work the group decided to give it a try. Thirty people participated in the most recent discussion on Human Trafficking and Sex Workers. They were delighted that we had a guest speaker, Sienna Baskin, who could join us from Northhampton, Mass. Sienna has been a legal advocate for sex workers in New York City and now runs a philanthropy that supports organizations that are working to reduce human trafficking. The session was recorded and will appear on Channel 14 in the near future. The photo shows the participants at one moment during the session. Baskin is the lower row, second from right.

Great Decisions is a program of the Foreign Policy Association (www.fpa.org). The next two topics are The Philippines (April 1) and Artificial intelligence (April 8). Both are at 1 p.m. Video conferencing is not space limited. If readers would like to join the discussion they should email Ed Edelson at ededelson@outlook.com.
